However with HoI4 division design most of the purpose behind historical division design has been lost since a single battalion is a much smaller part of a division, so if it had been added like in Hoi3 ( just highest value ) space marine divisions with just one TD battalion giving same armor as a full tank division would be very OP. The best way to promote such a race is to make a small advantage have a big impact, and it did work well for HoI3. The reason it was initially implemented back in HoI3 was twofold:ġ.) To promote more historical tank division templates that only required a single tank brigade ( out of 4-5 total max brigades )Ģ.) To promote a historical race in armor vs guns on for example the east front ( leading to ever increasing thickness of armor and size of guns ). ![]()
